Instructions for Quilt Submissions
To get the best results on your finished quilt and avoid additional service fees ($25 per hour), please prepare your quilt top in accordance with our Instructions for Quilt Submissions below:
1. Quilt Top: The top should be pressed and square, with no wavy boarders. To check the square of the quilt top, measure the width and length in 3 places top, middle and bottom. These measurements should be within a 1/2 inch. If the quilt top is not square, and it has a boarder, that could be the issue. The boarder needs to lay flat, if is not flat the finished quilt may have pleats. 2. Trim all loose threads on the front and back. 3. Quilt Backing: the backing material must be at least 4 inches larger (6 inches for minky or cuddle backing) on all sides of the quilt top. Please press all seams to one side. 4. Quilt tops with no boarders: Please make sure seams on the edge are secure and not raveling. If the edges are raveling, please stitch all edges with a 1/8 inch stitch line. 5. No embellishments on the quilt top (beads, pins, charms, buttons etc) We cannot quilt over them without causing damage to the quilt and machine. 6. Please mark the top of your quilt and backing. Safety pins work well for marking.
